We are a great new motorcycle club in Central Texas - The Lone Star Ladies Chapter of Women in the Wind, Inc. - A club designed just for WOMEN riders !!  The purpose of our club is to unite women motorcyclist, to promote a positive image of women on motorcycles and to help educate our members on motorcycle safety and maintenance.

Our chapter was started by Kay Phillips.  She spread the word about the formation of the club to other women she knew who liked to ride.  At our first meeting on Dec. 2, 2003 we had 12 women sign up.  After our second meeting a month later, we had 10 more join.  We continue to grow rapidly as word gets out about the club.  Our meetings are currently held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Jody's Family Restaurant located on 5th St. in Temple.  We are currently holding our meeting dates on the 1st Monday @ Old Jody's Family Restaurant, located on 5th St. in Temple.

We welcome all kinds of motorcycles, and our members are from all walks of life: everything from students and housewives to secretaries, nurses and legal assistants.  Our members are married and single, mothers and grandmothers.  We have them all.  If you are a woman, have a valid motorcycle license ad want to meet other women that ride or if you just want more information, send us an e-mail and we'll get back to you.
